Dawn Twilight – The Sun, The Moon, The Stars

This triptych painting is based on my memories of traveling in the High Sierra Mountains. In this artwork I used a sharp contrast of dark and light, together with the fusion of the shading with the shadows. This leads the eye to register the high values as an abstract shape on a bed of dark values. I was very pleased to receive Special Recognition for this painting in The Elements Art Exhibition on the Online Gallery – Light, Space & Time.
