Art Exhibit News
I’m pleased to let you know that I have several exhibits coming up this November and December. You are invited!
C-Shop, UChicago Coffee Shop
When: Reception on Friday, November 8, 7-9PM. Exhibit continues until November 30th.
What: Second year for this juried exhibit. Midwest artist and art professor, Lou Shields, is this year’s juror. Two of my oil paintings are on display, C-Shop, UChicago Coffee Shop and Preacher Man.
Where: Studio 659 is located at 1413 119th Street in Whiting, Indiana (about a 30 minute drive from downtown Chicago).
Lift Bridges At Dusk, Calumet River
When: Reception this Saturday, November 9, 1-8 PM. The exhibit continues until January.
What: The South Lake Artist’s Co-op 4TH Anniversary Group Show at Paul Henry’s Art Gallery will feature art by 25 Midwest artists, with several artists creating live in the gallery & music. Also we will be collecting donations for a food drive. Three Digital Art Photos from my series Steel Giants of the Heartland will be displayed.
Where: Paul Henry’s Art Gallery is located at 416 Sibley Street, Hammond, Indiana.
Garden Retreat
When: Reception on Saturday, November 23, 12-3. Exhibit is open from November 13 until December 21, 2013.
What: Art from Union Street Gallery studio and guild artists. Twelfth Month is an annual invitational exhibit featuring art and craft from over 30 regional artists. The exhibit is set-up in a unique style featuring both a traditional exhibit component and a boutique component. It is a much anticipated event and is often one of the gallery’s best attended exhibit. In addition to several large artworks, artists will display smaller works of art or reproductions. Examples of smaller items include artist made cards, jewelry, ceramics, scarves, small prints, or other hand-made art items. I will be displaying my oil paintings in the 1st floor gallery show, including Garden Retreat, which was painted during the Garden ArtWalk this summer. My digital art cityscapes will be in the 2nd floor boutique.
Where: Union Street Gallery is located at 1527 Otto Blvd. Chicago Heights, Illinois.
Art Fair On Oliver Street
When: Reception on Friday, December 13, 6-9 PM. Continues until January 10.
What: Annual group show: 119th Street Artists. My oil painting, Art Fair On Oliver Street is in the exhibit.
Where: Located in the rear lobby of the Centier Bank Building at 1500 119th Street, Whiting, Indiana.
When: This exhibit continues until November 15th.
What: Networks features art by Leon Sarantos, east gallery. Also, Replay exhibit, features mixed media by Brenda Farris, main gallery.
