Special Recognition for my Dawn Twilight painting
I was very pleased to receive Special Recognition for my new triptych painting, Dawn Twilight – The Sun, The Moon, The Stars in The Elements Art Exhibition on the Online Gallery – Light, Space & Time.
Dawn Twilight – The Sun, The Moon, The Stars
This artwork displays a stylized approach to realistic art that combines elements of an abstract painting superimposed over realistic objects. My paintings, in general, use a strong interplay and harmony of colors. I often use strong heavy lines, and an extreme gradation from light to dark color values. Although my painting process uses techniques of realism (lighting, perspective, modeling), the paint application creates a contemporary feel to the finished work (flattened objects, textures, partial overlays of color, and strong shapes on flat backgrounds).

The Elements Art Exhibition at Online Gallery – Light, Space & Time
Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its November 2011 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme and the basis for this month’s art exhibition is “The Elements”. An art competition was held in October 2011 which determined and judged the art for the exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 12 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 29 different states. Overall, there were 473 entries that were judged for this art competition. Congratulations to the artists who have been designated as this month’s winners, along with 65 winning Special Recognition Artists. I was encouraged to be one of them. The gallery commends all of the winning artists for their artistic skill and their creativity and the online art exhibition is indicative of their creativity.
