Opening Reception for Twelfth Month Annual Exhibit & Boutique
You’re invited ! When: Opening Reception is this Saturday, November 23, 12-3 PM. The exhibit is open from November 13 until December 21, 2013. I will be displaying my oil paintings in the 1st floor gallery show, including Garden Retreat, which was painted en plein air during the Garden ArtWalk this summer. My digital art cityscapes will be in the 2nd floor boutique. This reception is free and open to the public. Visitors will enjoy coffee, cider, and sweet treats while they shop and mingle with exhibiting artists, friends, and members of the Union Street Community.
What: Art from Union Street Gallery studio and guild artists. Twelfth Month is an annual invitational exhibit featuring art and craft from over 50 Midwest regional artists exhibiting a wide variety of art and craft, including paintings, drawings, collages, photographs, sculptures, glass art, and found object art. An array of smaller works of art will be for sale in the boutique areas of this exhibit including hand-made cards, small prints, jewelry, pottery, artist made accessories, blown glass, ornaments and more! It is a much anticipated event and is often one of the gallery’s best attended exhibits.

About Union Street Gallery
This vibrant gallery space is in a historic landmark building, constructed as an Elks Club meeting house in 1926. The three-story historic landmark building was rehabilitated with a two story open gallery space and artists studios filling the third floor. Today Union Street Gallery is the premier arts resource for the Chicago southland serving 3000 people per year through diverse art exhibits, classes and workshops, and art outreach projects. There are 14 studio artists and 26 guild artists.The Gallery continues to grow and establish itself as a sustainable arts and culture resource for the south suburbs.
