Blue Flowers at Botany Pond
This digitally altered fine art photograph is of the fence and flowers surrounding Botany Pond at the University of Chicago, Main Quadrangle. Botany pond was originally built as an outdoor research lab by John Coulter, who was the first chair of the botany department at the university. This artwork is part of my series, Digital Gothic: Cityscapes of the University of Chicago.
Art Contest: Art Takes Times Square
I have my entered my digital art in this contest. You can send my art to the billboards on Times Square: I just need you to “collect me.” Art fans and artists alike can participate.
From ArtistsWanted.org: “This summer Chashama and the Times Square Alliance is working with Artists Wanted to present artists from around the world in brilliant lights on a massive scale in one of the most iconic locations in the world. You are invited to participate in: Art Takes Times Square… By collecting the artists you like, you help select the winner and have a chance at a $5000 dream weekend in New York City.”
The easiest way is to go to my contest entry from your Facebook account.
-Then open the link to my artwork entry at the following link
– Once you click on Collect me the ArtistsWanted site will sign you up via Facebook and make you a judge. (The judge with the best collection of artist entries can win $5,000 in prizes!)
– Then return again and click on Collect Me again to add your vote.
The system takes a while to register people, so you might have to go back to my link again later. If the vote registers, the Collect Me section will change to a number, if not wait a while and try again later. Thank you for considering my art
