Cowgirl With Guitar

I am pleased to display my abstract figurative painting, Cowgirl With Guitar, at the Americana Exhibit At Studio 659 this month.  In this stylized painting the cowgirl and her guitar are painted in a representational manner, while the background is geometric and abstract. This artwork is part of my abstract realism series.

Americana Exhibit At Studio 659

What kind of art expresses Americana?  American history, folklore and geography are all sources of American culture. The artists at the Studio 659 presented an imaginative and vivid display of Americana, for example, John B. Stephens photo of a Native American mannequin and an abstract painting from the Subdivision Landscape series by Johnny Disco.  This exhibit continues until August 25.
